The Bird & The Bread Brings New Dining to Birmingham | After 5 Detroit.

When Kristin Jonna set out to open up shop in downtown Birmingham, she envisioned The Bird & The Bread bringing casual, every day, family-friendly dining to the scene, with a strong focus on a fresh new concept. Having opened doors in February, the new restaurant has not disappointed.

“The Bird & The Bread is a fun, food-focused dining concept with an extensive and aggressive beverage program,” said Kristin Jonna, owner of The Bird & The Bread. “We love the restaurant industry, and we look forward to the community response for our venue.”

The menu, created by Executive Chef, Jim Leonardo, features everything from 16-hour beef brisket sliders to mussels, and stout-braised lamb shank to The Mitten Burger (on a brioche bun with spicy greens, Michigan bacon jam, Michigan brie and cherry aioli).
